Former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen received five citations for a misdemeanor battery after his alleged involvement in a Las Vegas hotel brawl, according to TMZ Sports.
Police detained the 44-year-old and took his hands in handcuffs, but he was not arrested.
An eyewitness told police that Sonnen was banging on the door of a hotel room before getting into an altercation with a couple who were walking, according to TMZ.
Paramedics also responded to the scene, but it is not clear if there were any injuries in the accident.
Sonnen is best known for his UFC career, winning several title fights but never taking a championship. He set a 31-17-1 MMA record as a professional, last participating in June 2019 losing to Lyoto Machida at Bellator 222.
The fighter also spent time as a color commentator for the UFC and Bellator after he became famous for talking about trash during his career.
