Tachi Palace investing millions into renovations for hotel rooms

Lemore, California (KFSN) – If you’re looking for a getaway not too far from home, Tachi Palace hopes to entice guests with an upgraded nightly experience.

Less than six months after renovations to the casino’s Coyote Entertainment Center, the team invested $7 million in hotel rooms.

“We took the room, completely destroyed it and really made it a state-of-the-art design,” said Michael Ologek, General Manager of Tachi Palace.

Tuesday, we took a tour to learn about the improvements, which include an overhaul of the rooms. Everything has been upgraded, from the floors to the genuine leather walls and even the bathrooms.

Guests will notice the attention to detail and innovative improvements throughout.

Olujic says Tachi employees have done much of the renovations to help keep costs down.

“We designed these rooms internally, we built all the millworks internally and we did a lot of work within our team building these rooms and with that, we made a lot of good value out of what we got from these rooms.”

Besides adding USB charging ports throughout the rooms, a special smart privacy glass has been installed to allow guests to see inside the bathroom when it’s turned off and transform into a frosted look when it’s turned on.

“Everything is easy to lock up, everything is curved and everything is top tech and the bathroom really does make it feel great,” said Olujic. “When you come here, you have a really, really high-tech room but really comfortable and simple.”

Officials hope to renovate all 255 rooms by next year.

The construction project is the hotel’s first since it opened almost 17 years ago.
