Noble House assumes operations of Estancia La Jolla Hotel: Travel Weekly

After a recent sale to the Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, Noble House Hotels and Resorts has taken over operations at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa in San Diego.

Originally built in the 1880s as an equestrian estate, the 210-room Estancia is located on 10 acres, less than a mile from the University of California, San Diego.

The grounds include 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces, courtyards and gardens. The Garden Courtyard houses more than 100 species of plants and features Spanish architecture.

There are five food and beverage outlets, including Mustangs & Burros, the hotel’s signature restaurant serving Baja coastal cuisine.

Additional amenities include the 7,000-square-foot Estancia Spa with 11 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, a eucalyptus steam room, a fitness center, and an outdoor saltwater pool with poolside cabanas.

This addition brings the total number of North American hotels, resorts and luxury experiences in the Noble House portfolio to 24.

In San Diego, Noble House also oversees operations at L’Auberge del Mar, the San Diego Mission Bay Resort.

The Pebblebrook Hotel Trust announced its acquisition of Estancia for $108 million at the beginning of December. The hotel will also join the Curator Hotels & Resorts group, a group of small brands and independent lifestyle properties founded by Pebblebrook and a half-dozen hotel operators.
