The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), which owns and operates the Crown Hotels brand, has opened its first Vivanta hotel in Pakyong in Vivanta Sikkim.
The company said in a statement that the 50-room Vivanta Sikkim Hotel is located a short drive from the state airport in Pakyong – a popular tourist city – and the capital of Gangtok.
The hotel will offer an all-day restaurant called Mynt, which will serve Sikkim specialties; The Wink Lounge Bar serves cocktails and local drinks. It will also feature over 300 square meters of indoor banquet space and outdoor lawns.
With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have eight hotels in North East India including four properties under development.
