The mixed-use Grand Prairie is growing with the construction of two new hotels, a conference center and restaurants.
The 170-acre EpicCentral project is located off State Highway 161 on Arkansas Lane.
Merriman Anderson Architects of Dallas designed the new phase of EpicCentral with two new hotels, a conference and meeting facility, and six restaurants.
Concord Hospitality of Raleigh North Carolina will operate both hotels – the Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites.
The new properties are scheduled for completion in 2023.
These highly anticipated additions to Grand Prairie’s premier leisure, entertainment and cultural destination are scheduled to open in late 2022 and 2023.
“The new hotels integrate and complement the design of the existing buildings on the EpicCentral campus and will create a unique district adding to the overall leisure development,” Adam Jones of Merriman Anderson said in a statement. “Visitors to the campus entertainment venues will have the opportunity to stay overnight or walk in to a meal while enjoying all that EpicCentral has to offer, making it an all-in-one destination.”
The Hilton Garden Inn will have 129 rooms and there are 147 rooms in the Homewood Suites.
The convention center has a ballroom of 10,000 square feet.
The EpicCentral development includes the Epic Waters Water Park, a 120,000-square-foot fitness, arts and entertainment center, as well as a variety of other community recreation facilities.
