Hotel Vue up and running, improving, new owner says – Mississippi’s Best Community Newspaper

Natchez – Red Oak Capital, which was foreclosed on Hotel Vue and Super 8 Motel and took over the properties last week, said the hotels are up and running and improvements are underway.

“We have complete control,” said Joseph Elias, chief operating officer of Red Oak Capital. “We’ve hired most of the staff – we did on day one – and are working on making the rooms ready for the holiday season.”

Elias and his company hired a management team from JDH Developers of Atlanta, who specialize in the hospitality industry, to manage the Vue Hotel.

“We plan to keep the hotel open and improve rooms and operations,” he said. “Even the dangling rooms now, we’re putting it back in. Any missing supplies to the staff, we’re making those supplies. Even the staff have a direct deposit (from their salary) now. We’re planning to run it better than before while we look for a new owner. We have a management team Good in place.”

Elias said he admires the Natchez community and how welcoming it is to him and his company.

“Natchez is a beautiful city. And this is a beautiful piece of property that seems to be important not only to people from out of town, but to the community as well,” Elias said.
