The Holiday Inn Express has exceeded 3,000 hotels open worldwide with more than 300,000 rooms in 2,100 cities, and continues to serve as the growth engine for IHG Hotels & Resorts. With nearly 650 properties expected to open in the coming years, the brand accounts for more than a third of IHG’s global pipeline. It continues to attract hotel owners as it expands into new markets, including its first signing in Japan.

Americas: The Holiday Inn Express is expanding into every corner of the United States, and since 2019 the hotel has opened 11 new hotels in Florida alone, including the Holiday Inn Express and Doral Suites – Miami. The brand has achieved 5% growth in editorials in the Americas region since 2019.
Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa (EMEAA): Germany is one of the brand’s largest markets in Europe, with 44 hotels and 11 hotels added to the German market since 2019, including the Holiday Inn Express Düsseldorf – Hauptbahnhof. The number of Holiday Inn Express hotels in the European market has grown by more than 10% since 2019. Also in the region, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Queenstown is New Zealand’s first hotel brand.
Greater China: This region accounts for more than half of the brand’s total global growth. The brand development strategy is in line with China’s high-speed rail mapping, and the franchise model supports the strong growth in the region. Holiday Inn Express hotels are located in nearly every part of China, including 31 provinces and municipalities. Holiday Inn Express Zhuhai Gongbei is the brand’s newest property in the region.
