Hilton continues luxury growth in Asia-Pacific

Hilton has signed two signings in Asia for the first Waldorf Astoria in Osaka, Japan, and the Conrad Hotel in Chongqing, China, expanding the company’s luxury footprint in the Asia Pacific region.

The management agreements signed with Oryx Real Estate and Chongqing Jiafa Industrial Co., Ltd., respectively, add two properties to the company’s portfolio of luxury hotels in the region. When they open, the hotels will join the ranks of 30 operating hotels within the company’s portfolio of luxury brands: Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and LXR Hotels & Resorts.

“For more than a century, Hilton has thrived in major destinations around the world, even during some of the most challenging periods in history,” said Alan Watts, President of Hilton Asia Pacific. These signatures add to the company’s recent growth in the region. Besides signing several deals for four luxury hotels in China with real estate developer Shimao Group Holdings Ltd. (Shimao) in April this year.

Recently, Hilton launched its latest luxury brand in the Asia Pacific region with the opening of ROKU KYOTO and LXR Hotels & Resorts in September. The entry of the LXR Hotels & Resorts brand integrates with Waldorf Astoria and Conrad to offer a full range of luxury experiences in the region. Launched well before the end of the year, Conrad Jiuzhaigou will bring the brand’s contemporary design and intuitive service to travelers in China’s Sichuan Province when it opens later this month.
