Emily Nichols joined the Kimpton Alton Hotel in Fisherman’s Wharf as General Manager after experience in San Francisco as General Manager of the Kimpton Buchanan Hotel in Japantown. Previously, she worked as Assistant General Manager at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in Union Square. Emily has nearly 15 years of hospitality experience from hotels across the country – her background includes multiple staff assignments including in Mendocino, CA and Palm Beach, Florida.
Prior to moving to the Bay Area, Emily spent time in New York City as COO of the Dream Hotel Group and Director of Rooms at Amsterdam Hospitality. Prior to this, Emily held the position of General Manager of the Kahler Hospitality Group in Rochester, Minnesota, where she oversaw all day-to-day operations of the Residence Inn by Marriott.
Emily has a BA in Environmental Science and a BA in Urban Studies at Metro, with a minor in Sociology from the University of Augsburg. Emily is a coffee lover and – no surprise here – loves to travel as well as take care of her collection of plants. My favorite places visited so far are Croatia and Barcelona.
David Gross – Executive Chef
August 27, 2021 – The Italian restaurant Panzano in downtown Denver, located inside the Kimpton Hotel Monaco, welcomes David Gross as its new Executive Chef. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Executive Chef David Gross has over 10 years experience in his role at Panzano.
