Dream Hotels brand to enter historic Louisville

Designed by Cube 3 with elegant interiors by Josh Held and WATG, Dream Louisville promises to change the hospitality landscape in Kentucky’s largest city.

The All-Star team join forces to realize an exciting scheme in Bluegrass State.

Make a mark in Louisville

The Dream Hotel Group has announced a partnership with Royal Investments to open Dream Louisville in 2025. This newly announced project marks the second Dream Hotels-branded property for developer Royal Investments, following the 2019 launch of Dream Nashville.

The new outpost in Louisville will showcase the architecture of Miami-based Cube 3, along with the interiors of Josh Held and WATG. The 168 guest rooms will join four F&B concepts and 10,000 square feet of event space.

“Given the success of our partnership in Nashville, we took the opportunity to work with Alex Marks and his talented team to present Dream Louisville as the jewel of the new Bourbon City,” said Jay Stein, CEO of Dream Hotel Group. “Louisville is one of the fastest growing markets in the nation and is an important addition to our growing portfolio. We are proud to play a role in creating what will be one of the finest rehabs in downtown Louisville.”

“After opening the Dream Hotel in 2019, I set my sights on the next city that embraced the same quality and energy that we offered in Nashville,” added Alex Marks, owner of Nashville-based Royal Investments. “Just two hours down the road, the historic Louisville buildings on Main Street are the perfect place to bring the elevated experience to an already vibrant and hospitable city.

“Dream was on board on day one and quickly got down to business to begin designing a property with world-class accommodations, fine dining and elegant leisure experiences they had delivered many times before.”

Based on the history of the area

Louisville’s newest hotel will take over the former Tapp Leather & Co. building, which dates back to 1888. In all, the scheme will include seven buildings from 811 to 823 West Main Street at the start of the famous Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

Staying here will put guests close to a variety of attractions, including the Fraser Museum of History, the Muhammad Ali Center, and the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory.

“The Dream brand represents a vibrant and evolving experience that we are confident will become a focal point for the neighborhood and the city of Louisville as a whole,” said David Cooperberg, Chief Development Officer, Dream Hotel Group. “We have a great collaboration with Alex Marks and his team at Royal Investments, and we are thrilled to partner with him once again to bring our collective vision to Main Street Louisville.
