In their new waterfront location in Glyfada, One&Only aims to bring Greek charm back to the 1960s and 1970s with what they describe as a “hybrid resort town”. What does that mean exactly? Think: a property of over 65 acres, with bungalows and a beach club, still near the hustle and bustle of historic Athens.

Opening on Grosvenor Square in London’s Mayfair, The Twenty Two is a 31-bedroom property with a restaurant and private members club. The interiors will be executed, according to the hotel, “in an opulent yet welcoming style.”

Fasano Trancoso (Winter 2022)

Trancoso, Brazil – One of the most beautiful beaches in the world – is getting a new luxury resort this winter with Fasano Trancoso. Spread over 700 acres in Itapuroruca, the hotel was designed by famed Brazilian architect Isai Winfield and will feature more than 1,600 feet of shoreline.

Habitas Santa Teresa, Costa Rica (Winter 2022)

Habitas, a hotel group known for its trendy hotels catering to millennials in trendy locations, is setting its sights on a new location: Santa Teresa. Their eco-friendly getaway will be at the surfing hotspot tucked away in a seaside forest on the Nicoya Peninsula, and will include a spa, restaurant, pool, and sunken fire pit. The activities on offer are both adventure and pioneering activities: think water padding, ATV surfing, and snorkeling at volcanoes.

Small in size – there are only 12 suites – and yet set in more than 23,000 acres of wilderness, The Homestead will offer everything from customized game tours to cooking classes and birding adventures.
